In the past, cross necklaces have always been a bold statement of one’s religion and a very powerful reminder that faith is the key to God’s promised Kingdom.
The Cross necklaces have always been here even before the birth of Christ. Celtics and Romans have used crosses to symbolize their religion and beliefs. In the last Centuries, Cross necklaces had been a sign of power and prestige, too. The Roman Catholic Church priests used to wear big, bold necklaces around their necks to symbolize their profession and position.
However, in this very modern age, especially in the Western culture, the gentlemen, the ladies, even the children wear cross jewelry as a fashion statement. Everyone at any age, any race or any religion, is now used to the idea that cross jewelry are not just for religion anymore, but more of a fashion statement that anyone, at any religion or belief can avail of.
The most common cross jewelry is the cross necklace. Perhaps, mainly because that when you are conversing to somebody, the neck is in the field of vision and ornaments on the head and neck are the first things that people see.
There are many kinds of cross necklaces available:
Celtic cross necklaces. These are crosses that have a ring around the intersection of the lines. Contrary to the name denotes, Celtic crosses are not just from the Celts. Many religions have used Celtic crosses, like the Pagans, and the Protestant and Roman Catholics.
Gold Cross Necklaces. Gold have always been a staple jewelry, and gold cross necklaces come in different colors, like white yellow, even rose.
Wooden Cross Necklace. When people hear the word, “jewelry”, most of them will think of precious stones or metal. However, cross necklaces have evolved from being pricey to affordable, like wooden cross necklaces.
