Most Russian women look very beautiful. This is because they strive to look their best to please the man in their lives. But, looking good is not the only part of a woman’s value system in this part of the world. Her first concern is to be a loving wife, a good mother and a respected member of Russian society.

There are a lot more unmarried women in Russian than men. As such, single women want to look attractive in an effort to find a man. Finding a good husband is hard, but they know that keeping one is just as hard. Because of this, women endeavor to look their best even after they are married.

A woman will rarely leave her home without wearing make-up, a nice hair style and smart clothes. Most Russian women are slender because they do not eat big meals. Their bodies are usually fit and well-toned. This can be attributed to the fact that they do a lot of walking. Women hardly ever drive.

Wherever possible, they grow their own food and make their own dresses. This especially applies to married women whose husbands are on a tight budget. They accept this situation gracefully and happily. In fact, a Russian woman is her own designer, stylist, personal trainer, make-up artist, and dietician.

Family is of primary importance. If a woman wants to be socially respected, she must have a husband and children. This overrides her wish for a career. Unmarried women are looked down upon. Therefore, to be considered successful, a woman must conform to these requirements.

Because of this, women put their primary focus on finding a marriage partner. While they are unafraid of hard work, they will try to find a man that has some wealth. This will give her the knowledge that her husband will be able to provide for her while she is busy rearing his children. With this in mind, many Russian women seek men who are older and well established.

Women put so much focus on their families instead of their careers for another reason. This is because, in the job market, there is still much discrimination against women. Men are still given preference despite a woman’s qualifications or capabilities. This clearly shows that the commercial sector also expects a wife to put her husband and family first.

A wife will therefore do her utmost to assist her husband in building a successful career for himself, with no focus on her own life. If money is tight and there is only sufficient to pay for one to study, she will happily let her husband have the chance to better himself. However, if she has to work to provide a second income, she will gladly oblige.

If a wife does work, she will feel very uncomfortable if her income is bigger than that of her husband. Although it might appear that they feel inferior to men, this is far from the truth. Russian women do not like being ordered around. They consider marriage as a partnership between two equals and they demand appreciation and respect.
