Wedding Rings of Hollywood Stars Always Draw Public Attention

March 21st, 2010 by Rich Keys

It is the right of every girl to be a princess on the day of her wedding. The celebrities seem to get the royal treatment on daily basis hence their weddings call for an over the top event complete with dresses which are ridiculously priced, an A list guest list, and, of course, the wedding ring which generates gossip almost equal to that of wedding itself.

Celebrity wedding rings seem to be not just for the recipient but also for gossip columns as well. There is no better example than Brad Pitt, who has received publicity for the rings he has presented to his girlfriends, usually fellow actresses. Perhaps his most publicized relationship was made official when he gave an 18 carat, white gold diamond ring to Jennifer Aniston. Gwyneth Paltrow was also the lucky recipient of a magnificent engagement ring from Pitt.

Three tiny yet beautiful diamonds were set in a ring that Pitt designed. But unluckily in Pitts situation, the celebrity wedding rings were talked about more by the public than they lasted on the fortunate lady’s hand, but Paltrows ring was basically one of a number of 3-stone rings.

This popular trend among celebrity wedding rings with the three stoned ring is used to symbolize the past, present, and future of the lovers. Even though this trend has been common throughout the world for quite some time, the celebrities that seep of fashion and glamour seem to wear them best, or at least draw the most attention.

The bar was raised when Guy Ritchie commissioned, for Madonna, a platinum band with three Edwardian diamonds surrounded by diamond accents from a well known jewelry artist. Sharon Stone and husband also used three diamonds, but opted for a different stone shape. Other celebrities followed suit, with Toni Braxton and Keri Russel designing a custom version using an oval center stone nestled between two heart shaped stones and the wedding rings generated a lot of buzz surrounding the size and price.

In general, diamonds in the rough do not make the news, but as soon as they are set in a celebrity wedding ring they are suddenly the focus of attention.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette received countless expensive gifts from family and friends celebrating their marriage, but the father of Coxs maid of honor presented to them some simple advice. Don’t forget, a deals a deal! were his words of wisdom to pass before the wedding. Cox and Arquette honored these words by engraving them onto their wedding bands to hold close to them throughout their journey of matrimony. In the midst of a life where extravagance will achieve exposure, these two gained respectable publicity through a simple promise.

Hollywood has done a good job promoting the importance of glamour, but don’t let the glamour of the ring you choose outshine you!

Your wedding ring may not make the front page like that of a celebrity’s; however similar styles can be found at online jewellery stores. You may not treat her like a princess every day, but a beautiful, shiny ring on her finger will serve as a reminder that she is your princess.
