The Best Natural Skincare Products

June 30th, 2009 by Kathleen Walsh

Unfortunately, the market is nowadays flooded with so called skin cleansing products which are far from being effective and in fact, some of them are capable of causing a considerable amount of harm. However, there are numerous cleansing skin care solutions which do slow down the aging process, and which can help to ensure your skin retains its youthful glow. If youd like to learn more with regards to safe skin care, please read on.

Remember, effective skin cleansing actually starts in the shower, so it pays to remember that many modern soaps and shampoos contain potentially harmful chemicals. Likewise, the vast majority of municipal water coming out of our taps is polluted with a number of toxins and impurities which are under no circumstances good for your skin.

In all reality, it would be unrealistic to suggest that you avoid all known pollutants and toxins. In fact, without a special filtration system, it would be near impossible, but many can however be removed from your water supply by means of a shower head filter.

The active ingredient in these skin cleansing products is triclosan, which is harmful to the environment and isn’t really doing your health any favors either. There are safer alternatives, such as manuka honey, which is naturally antibiotic.

Additionally, youd be well advised to sort through all those skin cleansing products you already have, and to discard any which contain parabens, artificial fragrances, or any other form of petrochemical. Unlike products which contain soaps, natural products such as tea tree oil, orange oil and manuka honey wont damage your skin.

You should also stay away from those exfoliating cleansers, especially micro-beads. These cause irritation and inflammation and actually contribute to wrinkles and sagging skin.

Oily skin can also be effectively controlled, simply by using a skin cleansing mask, either once a week, or once every fortnight. However, always ensure that the mask you choose contains all natural cleansing skin care products such as natural clay, vitamin E, macadamia oil and shea butter.

Some masks actually clog pores more than they clean them and you need to scrub your skin to the point of irritation to get them off. Enter macadamia oil and shea butter; these ingredients keep your mask from drying out so that it can be removed without damaging your skin.

Cant Easy Bruising Be an Indicator for Diabetes?

June 30th, 2009 by Carolyn Cooper

If you are someone who has problems with bruising easily, you will discover that it is very important to take some time to figure out what is going on with your body. Whether you have always had issues with easy bruising or whether you are now dealing with this as a sudden and new development, you’ll discover that the more information that you have about the issue, then the better your chances are going to be when it comes to figuring out what to do about it. Diabetes is often cited as one condition that comes with easy bruising, and bruising easily is one way that this condition might be detected.

Are you an individual who has had diabetes as a part of your family’s history? There is known to be a very strong genetic link associated with this disease, and if your parent is known to have had it, there is greater likelihood that you could develop it yourself. Diabetes is generally considered as a condition of an out of balanced metabolism, where the person who has contracted the disease experiences exceptionally high blood sugar levels. The basis for the problems that are symptomatic of diabetes is usually a condition centering on a defective system for the secretion of insulin or in the manner in which the insulin acts in the body.

With this information in mind, why would we associate diabetes with bruising, and why would bruises suddenly showing up on your body give you a cause for concern? There are two instances that bruises might appear if diabetes is the cause. The first is a condition known as acanthosis nigricans. In this condition, your skin might discolor to black or brown in the folds and creases of your body. This is something that usually happens on the neck and in the armpits. This occurs due to insulin spilling over in the skin, and it is often associated with Type II diabetes.

The other condition that may affect you is the fact that normal healing times can be diminished in people who have diabetes. Your body marshals its resources in areas other than those associated with bruising, and you’ll come to understand that there are a variety of different ways in which diabetes can show itself known due to this change in healing.

Even if you have noticed that you are finding bruises similar to the kind referred to above, and even if you have some of the other symptoms besides bruising easily, including weight loss, fatigue, blurred vision, increased thirst, and frequent urination, you should schedule an appointment with your doctor for a determination on diabetes. Easy bruising in and of itself is not necessarily a sign that you have contracted diabetes, especially if there is no history of this condition.

If diabetes is not the reason that you are experiencing easy bruising, it is time for you to take a look at Bruises Be Banned. This new, all natural product has been specially formulated to reduce bruising or prevent bruising altogether; so look into what their daily program might do for you.

Baby Bedding Sets - Making It the Centerpiece Of Your Nursery

June 30th, 2009 by Bee Fraley

When you first bring home your baby, items like comforters, quilts and pillows aren’t necessary.

These sets often come with a bumper too and you might have heard or read conflicting information on them. In the end it comes down to the choice that you make.

If you do choose to use a bumper, it is better to use one that is rather thin and not thick and fluffy. This will make it less of a suffocation hazard.

The essential items for the first year of your baby’s life are sheets, a mattress, and maybe a crib skirt for a better look. You want to avoid fluffy or heavy items in the crib that could suffocate your baby.

The idea of having your baby in a crib with just a sheet, makes you probably wonder if your baby will be warm enough. For the cooler seasons consider wrapping your baby tightly in an organic blanket or sleep sac. This will prevent suffocation while keeping your baby warm and comfortable.

So, what do you do with the comforter or quilt that came in the baby bedding set? They make great accessories for your baby’s nursery.

They can complement your nursery’s theme and can be hung on the wall or a quilt rack. You might also hang them over the crib’s rail when your baby isn’t inside the crib.

It’s also a good idea to purchase a complete baby bedding set, if you are planning on using it throughout your child’s toddler years as well. It would be difficult finding the matching pieces at a later time.

On the other hand, if you want to keep it simple in the beginning and buy only the necessary bedding items, you can later freshen up the nursery design with a toddler bedding set.

New Advances in Skin Peeling

June 30th, 2009 by Craig Mecham

Chemical peeling continues to grow in popularity worldwide and the variety of ingredients used for this purpose is increasing daily.

Better and improved peeling agents in use today mean that new ingredients and antioxidants are being added everyday that make the process more acceptable to our bodies and less likely to react negatively. Another major advance has been in the ability to provide a different level of peeling for different parts of site being treated, such as going deeper in the cheek and forehead area for removal of wrinkles or scars, and less under the eyes. This ensures a result that is more even and natural looking. Since each person needs a different treatment, it is important to seek the opinion of a professional physician who can guide patients and achieve the best result.

For example, specific areas requiring removal of scars can have a deeper treatment than areas under the eyes, leading to a better, more natural look. It is important to check with a qualified and experienced physician to guide potential patients for individual needs and advice before seeking treatment.

Chemical peels speed up the natural exfoliating process in which outer layers of your skin’s cells are sloughed off. Various types of acids are used to help break the chemical bonds between skin cells. In this way, the peels also accelerate the production of new cells as the skin heals and the cells below are stimulated to heal themselves. The result is a fresher, smoother, and more youthful appearance. Anesthetics are not usually required for most types of peels, although you may receive mild sedation to help you relax and feel comfortable for the deeper peels.

Given this scenario, as well as the variety of peels and treatment types available today, it is strongly recommended to have a board certified dermatologist of experienced plastic surgeon advising clients before treatment begins.

To sum it up, there’s no doubt that the skin peeling process has come a long way since its inception in terms of the type of products and treatment available as well as in terms of accessibility and relatively simplification of the treatment itself. Recuperation time has shrunk significantly with the advances in techniques used. However once again, it is to be understood that despite the high levels of safety achieved, a qualified aesthetic physician be consulted before treatment is sought.

Must Own Fashion Accessories

June 29th, 2009 by Pri Vag

Mens bags are becoming increasingly popular, as designs are becoming increasingly stylish. The messenger bag is the best choice as it is suitable for all occasions and can be worn with casual or formal wear.

The backpack is only suitable for travelling and walking, whilst the briefcase is a bit old fashioned and wont work with jeans and a t-shirt. A plain black or brown messenger bag made from leather and nylon is smart and lightweight, but not too formal.

For the Winter, gloves and scarves are essential for keeping warm and looking good. Plain black leather gloves work with all types of clothing, and a cashmere lining offers warmth and comfort. It is best to steer clear of woollen gloves in bright colours, unless they act as a second pair.

Every man owns a wallet, and its one of those accessories that can last a long time. Be careful though that it does not become dog eared and faded as this can ruin your image and look. A classic choice would be a plain black leather wallet, and stay away from velcro and large logos. If you like to dress more fashionably, then there are some very cool wallets by J.Fold that use perforated holes and great colours. The money clip is a bit old fashioned, and coin purses are too feminine. Perhaps the most important accessory a man will every buy though is his watch.

Avoid oversized straps and faces, and coloured faces (white, black or off white is best). A stainless steel band watch offers a masculine and sporty look, and is very durable. A leather wristband has a timeless and elegant look, but is less durable and should not be taken into the water. Avoid oversized straps and faces, and coloured faces (white, black or off white is best).

June 29th, 2009 by Patricia Lambert

You have been waiting for some time and when your daughter gets wed, for the majority of moms it is the special day they have been anticipating and many of us may exaggerate our mother of the bride wedding speech if we’re watching what we are doing. It is better to seek to develop your address prior to the wedding reception and rehearse it with your husband, partner, or your own mom to see the sort of response you produce.

Be certain to be ready to accept genuine criticism if you get any as it does not mean your address is poor, it just might mean a few matters should be taken out or others put in. A healthy idea is to take some personal time alone and think of how you were when she picked out her wedding dress, her face, her character, and any other thing you love about her because these will be good tools when composing your speech.

Respectable subjects for your mother of the bride wedding speech are how you feel about your daughter and her husband as a pair and what you believe the future will hold for them. If you know they desire to have children, speak about how you can’t wait to be a grandparent. You can also speak a small amount about your daughter during her years of growing up, how glorious she appears on her wedding day and hw she was before she finally met her bridegroom. You can easily discuss how other relations such as her father or stepfather have molded her and why she is a stronger individual because of it. It’s also a good idea to give the groom a toast and thank his mom and dad (or stepparents) and let them know how fortunate you feel to take him as a son-in-law.

In general, as the mom of the bride is believed to be the wedding hostess, it’s also fine to talk about and thank the people in the room who have made her day fantastic, such as close admirers or other relations. Your address should be elegant, grateful, and encouraging to the bride and groom so don’t forget that when you are developing your speech or considering what you want to say, although amusing addresses are respectable, the mother of the bride speech is a privilege and it’s your chance to glow and boast some about your special girl whose all grown up.

Reckoning on what time in the wedding reception your address is expected to start, be particular to watch how much alcohol you drink before you speak. This will embarrass you but also your daughter, the groom, and a great deal of other people in the room will wonder what you were thinking. Other than providing that heartfelt address, it is fine if some tears run, after all, the pair of you have anticipated and prepared for this event for a long while and if you have a good relationship with your girl, she’ll treasure the tears of joy. A great mother of the bride wedding speech should be classy and genuine so try not to forget that and you’ll do okay.

How Long Does It Take To Plan A Wedding?

June 29th, 2009 by Randolph Quan

There’s no standard answer to the question “How long does it take to plan a wedding?” After all, circumstances unique to the bride and groom play a large factor in the planning timeline. Weddings have been planned in as little as a few weeks - or a few days for an elopement - or years, if the couple so chooses.

However, if you’re asking “how long does it take to plan a wedding without any extra stress?” the answer is easier: At least a year. The average length of time couples are taking to plan a wedding these days is 16 months. Why so long? For one, many desirable reception venues book up far in advance. Also, weddings have become more of an event these days than they were in years past, and that takes time to plan.

For the bride who is planning approximately a year’s worth of time, here’s the standard timeline:

One year before.

One year before - Set a tentative date (though be aware it could change) Choose your style and formality. Work out your budget before talking to any vendors. Start a tentative guest list. Reserve your officient. Select your bridal party and let them know which events they need to be involved in. Shop for wedding reception venues. Shop for your dress, schedule fittings. Shop for bridesmaid dresses. Search for wedding vendors by starting with photographers

Nine months before - Finalize guest list and gather addresses. Register for gifts at your preferred stores. Select and order the attire for the groom and his groomsmen. Finalize vendors, put down deposits. Schedule engagement photos. Research honeymoon preferences. Select and order invitations

Six months before - Prepare documents to go inside invitations (maps, directions, additional information) Meet with all wedding vendors to finalize orders. Order wedding cake if not provided by the caterer. Coordinate parents’ attire. Book honeymoon. Send save-the-date announcements. Book rehearsal dinner location. Order wedding rings

Four months before. Book block of hotel rooms for out-of-town guests. Arrange final dress fittings. Order wedding favors and bridal party gifts.

Two months before - Send invitations. Book appointments with beauticians for day of wedding. Schedule a make-up trial. Assign your “wedding day assistant,” someone who isn’t in the bridal party who can help you on your wedding day.

One month before - Confirm all ceremony and reception bookings. Finalize rehearsal dinner details. Draw up seating arrangements for reception. Go to hair and make-up trial. Choose a date to get your marriage license with your fiance’. Start gathering RSVPS.

Two-three weeks before - Pick up wedding rings. Have final dress fitting. Confirm all arrival times and final arrangements with vendors.

One week before - Give caterer final head count. Pack bags for honeymoon. Ask bridal party to help with post-wedding tasks. Make arrangements for wedding gifts to be delivered to your home.

1-2 days before - Double-check honeymoon arrangements such as hotel and flight details. Write checks for vendors and give to wedding day assistant. Put together an “emergency kit” with all essentials. Attend rehearsal dinner. Create phone list of wedding vendors and give to your assistant.
