The Next Best Skin Care Ingredient: Avocado Oil

If you’re looking for a new way to get rid of bags under your eyes, fine lines and wrinkles then look no further. Avocado oil is scientifically proven to have natural benefits to skin and is being lauded as the next great skin care ingredient.
There are certain sugars found in avocadoes called D-manno-heptulose that have proven to boost collagen in the top layer of skin. The skin’s top layer is also where the most discoloration occurs. These sugars also produce an antimicrobial layer on the skin, which protects it against bacteria. It not only keeps the skin clean, but locks in moisture to produce a healthy-looking shine.
I wouldn’t recommend smearing avocadoes on your face but there are plenty of common skin care products out there that utilize avocado oil extract. Now, many skin care products use avocado extract in conjunction with natural ingredients like primrose extract and shea butter.
The ancient Mayan civilization first discovered the benefits of avocadoes in relation to the skin. Back then, they mixed avocado pulp with aloe in order to heal from injuries sustained in battle faster. Now, scientists have discovered how avocadoes can help skin heal itself but also prevent signs of aging.
Avocado oil may not be the end all be all of skin care but it’s proving to be a more common ingredient in eye wrinkle and dark eye circles products. Everyone wants to find that next breakthrough secret in skin care and avocado oil just may be it.
