The market has many types of tuxedo’s available today and it’s good for men to know the different types. However, when it comes to getting the best value for money should you buy professional salon hair care products, or would cheap high street hair care products be just as good?

Comparing hair care products on cost alone, high street hair products may seem cheaper and a better buy, giving the impression of providing more value because of their low cost. Professional salon products on the other hand may seem expensive with a typical 300ml bottle priced around $20/GBP10, 5 times the price of the average high street hair products at an average cost of $4/GBP2.

Comparing these prices it seems as if the high street products are better value at about a fifth of the price of salon professional hair care products, giving the impression that they are much better value for money, because you would be getting 5 times the amount of product as you would compared with professional salon hair products.

However… when you carry out a closer inspection of the differences between cheap hair products and professional salon hair products, does cheap hair care products really provide the better value for money, or is buying cheap hair products a false economy? Let’s take a closer look…

To find out whether the premium brand salon hair products provide better value for money in both the short and long term when compared to cheap high street hair care products, we decided to test them to find out the real truth about hair products, and whether the high street products are as good a deal as they initially appear.

In our test we compared a 300ml bottle of an average high street shampoo, and an equivalent 300ml bottle of salon professional shampoo. The high street shampoo needed about 50ml per application to clean the hair to our required standard, whereas the salon shampoo needed only 10ml per application to clean the hair to the same required standard.

Using 50ml per application, the average high street hair shampoo provides approximately 6 applications per 300ml bottle. With just 10ml used per application, the professional salon hair shampoo gives you around 30 applications per 300ml bottle. Doing a little math, the cost per applications are $0.64c/GBP0.32p for the cheap high street shampoo, and $0.66c/GBP0.33p for the salon professional shampoo.

Summary: at first glance, cheaper high street hair products appear to be a better buy and provide value for money, but on closer scrutiny there is but a hair’s breadth of difference in the price of salon hair products, and cheap hair products. When you add the better quality and effectiveness of salon products into the equation, the salon products turn out to be much better value for money. Q? Why would you use anything other than the highest quality hair care products on your hair?

The color of the flower can vary between red, yellow, purple, blue, or white, and each flower has five petals. The five petals meet and join together to form a concave flower with a spur at the end, hence the name larkspur. Larkspurs convey a lighthearted emotion and a feeling of levity.

The gladiola gives those born in the month of August a title of courageous and brave. The Latin word gladius is the direct translation for the word sword, and the gladiolas sword-shaped stems are a visual representation for that. Symbolically, the gladiola represents moral integrity and strength. An extended meaning for the gladiola makes reference to its sword-shaped stems and its ability to emotionally pierce the heart with its stunning beauty and grace; infatuation is one of the feelings that this unique flower depicts.

I am a bookworm. Reading is my passion as I literally grew up with them in our house. My mom is a bookworm herself and I must have gotten it from her. A very good piece of book can really make my day. Books are part of my collections and I will continue to collect more in the years to come. I wish that my daughter will acquire that passion too. That makes 3 generations of bookworms.

Have you heard of a book festival where the books after the show are eaten by the people? Yes, you heard it right. Welcome to The International Edible Book Festival. In here, one can showcase an edible art mimicking a book for everyone to see. The festival is not a competition and everyone is encouraged to submit their interpretations of edible books. Some entries are fondant book cakes with sugar gum paste as embellishments. The books on display are not only good reads but ones that could satisfy the gastronomic cravings as well.

The International Edible Book Festival that is held in Northwood, New Hampshire is a Festival that is celebrated on April 1st in over 18 countries including: Canada, Morocco, United States, Mexico, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Brazil, France, England, India, Italy, Japan, Russia and Hongkong. The chosen date was in commemoration with the birthday of French gastronome Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826) writer of the famous literary piece, Physiologie du gout . The Festival started in 2000.

The town of Northwood in New Hampshire is set to hold The International Edible Book Festival on April 1st of this year. They are on their second year now. It is very timely that the Festival is done on April fools Day because it is the perfect day play with words and eat them!

I cannot wait to be in this Festival as there are just too many books to read and too many of them to eat!
